About Jesse
I’m a designer at heart, I’ve been designing things since I was a kid. Starting with greeting cards, bookmarks, my own games, and whatever else I could think up. Nothing motivates me more than a project. I thrive on them, and when I get excited about one, I have trouble stopping until its finished. I lose sleep over them.
I took some design classes in high school, and I just knew that I wanted to be a designer. While attending college in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, I added Advertising as a second major. They’re both all about the idea behind the work, not just the pretty exterior.
Today, I work at a small agency named Morsekode. We do marketing, branding, and advertising for companies in the music, technology, healthcare and retail environments. I specifically work on the design aspect, and often I work on the web design that we do.
While working, I enjoying listening to good music like Caedmon’s Call, Mae, John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Shane & Shane, The Fray, Relient K, Switchfoot, and others. I’m not exactly sure how to describe my musical tastes, somewhere between acoustic, rock, punk, and jazz. When I have the time and motivation, I enjoy strumming my old Washburn guitar and playing my favorites.
Other than projects and design work, what inspires me is the outdoors. I enjoy taking a few camping and backpacking trips each summer. I’ve climbed 2 of the Colorado Fourteeners (only 51 more to go!). I love to play Frisbee Golf and Ultimate Frisbee with friends. I love using my new Digital Rebel XTi taking photos of nature and architecture.
My wife is a beautiful girl who I met in college. She’s a 2nd grade teacher, and she acts like it too. She puts up with me joins me on my crazy adventures. We like hanging out together.
